Manufactured in Denmark, this is the acknowledged classic, full-strength Blue Cheese. It differs from other cheeses primarily because it is made using homogenized milk in the cheese-making process, which causes the taste to stand out. The taste is sharply piquant and slightly salty, which is the blue "bite." Firm, crumbly texture with blue mold in veins and pockets. Crumble in vegetable, fruit, and pasta salads, over grilled meat; blend for spreads, dressings, dips.
I just wish it was a bit less expensive. I used to be able to get it at Kroger stores before they all changed to Murray’s which is terrible blue cheese and is super expensive.
An outstanding creamy and delicious blue cheese that we love on our salads and in a blue cheese dressing we make.
We love stilton and roquefort but this is just as good or better and affordable.
